Lily Lu Gilbert is a singer-songwriter from Louisville, Kentucky, whose music draws from the same well of American roots and working-class storytelling that defines the work of Tyler Childers and Bruce Springsteen.
A graduate of NYU Steinhardt's prestigious songwriting program, where she was named Songwriter of the Year, Lily brings both formal craft and raw emotional honesty to her music.
Rooted in the Appalachian tradition and shaped by years of close listening to Brandi Carlile, Lucinda Williams, Hozier, and Charles Wesley Godwin, Lily writes songs that feel lived-in and true.
Now based in New York and pursuing a full-time career as an artist, Lily is poised to carry the Americana and folk tradition forward with a voice entirely her own.
